XTL1500 2 system radio

Post by Karfield »

Ok,

I haven't had much luck on this one so maybe someone here can help me out. I have an XTL1500 analog 3600 baud trunking radio that is having an odd issue.

The unit has 2 seperate trunking systems programmed into is. One smartnet and one startsite. Unit works peachie keen on the smartnet but will no longer work on the startsite. However, it did work in the past.

I've sent it in for firmware updates and to get a default codeplug placed into it. I still cannot get it to work on the startsite system. I'm not a startsite expert and I'm curious how a system gets setup for auto affiliate (or is it just a specific radio thing).

If I missed any key information here just ask I'll fill in what I can. Any help is appreciated.

This may be an obvious question, but did the StartSite system get rebanded? Is this the only radio you have on the system?

Nope, it's also a 900 Mhz unit. I'll list some of the things I've done.

Turned unit off and on in the system. (disable/enable as it were)
Default and program 1 talkgroup with all control channels plus add the control channels as Rx only conventional to verify they were being received.
Upgrade firmware (thank you depot)
Recheck system to make sure unit was turned on.
Change ID inside radio and redo step 1 and 4.

What I know about the radio VS systems is the radio is Auto Affiliate only. (this should not have an effect as both systems are PTT affiliate)
