Maxtrac POST error

Maxtrac POST error

This radio emits normal POST tone then immediately bonks once. Rx & tx normally. Does anyone know what this thing is trying to say??

Yeah, if its a 16 pin radio, then check the ignition sense jumper.

I'm sorry.......check it for what? The radio is setup for ignition power. Main power is constant. Apply ign power....bee-bonk!

There needs to be a jumper between pins 7 & 9 to avoid that bonk.
No trees were harmed in the posting of this message...however an extraordinarily large number of electrons were horribly inconvenienced.

This should fix your bonk, it is for the emergency switch.
