XTS3000 Model III Keypad

Post by MotoFAN »

Hi all!

Why I don't see 7505293Z01 (KEYPAD, Model III) on MOL?

But I see 7505293Z02 (KEYPAD, Model III (R Models)).

What happened with usual (not rugged) keypad?

P.S.
This numbering taken from Detailed Service Manual, 68P81083C90-A.

Rugged keypad (7505293Z02) will fit to regular (non-rugged) case?

I assume that you are talking about the soft plastic keypad that goes in the case front. I am not aware of any differences between the "R" and regular models. I have re-cased regular models into "R" cases, re-using the keypad, and never had a problem. So, I suspect that they are the same.

You can also use the model III keypad from the XTS3500 model III. Some people like the looks of this as the two rows of buttons above the numeric portion of the keypad are purple. Gives the radio a distinctive look and perhaps help identify it as yours. I don't have the part number in front of me, but it has been mentioned in prior posts on this board.

Good luck.

my records show 7505293Z02 as the black keypad and 7505293Z03 as the purple one

edit: my 3k manuals make no reference to Z03 so i am pretty sure Z03 is the 3500 model

Ok, but what happened with 7505293Z01? This one described as KEYPAD, Model III in SM. But this one not visible for me at MOL. But for you?

Depending on your account, some parts may or may not show...especially true for the high tier stuff. Things that show up on my PD account won't show on my personal account.

Even if they dont show up, you can always call parts ID and find out (and order if needed) from the 800 number.

Thank you, Jeff.

P.S.
XTS3500's KEYPAD really have P/N 7505293Z03. And no dividing on Rugged and non-Rugged versions. I have checked today in SM.
