Unless something's happened in the last few weeks I don't know about, R12 CPS for Astro 25 portables is the latest version that's been released. The last CPS version to program the radio determines the revision number needed to read/write to it. Since the host/DSP versions are in the 12 series, you can guarantee it's going to take R12 CPS. Earlier versions will not work. I don't believe the less significant revisions (i.e. R12.00.01 vs R12.00.00) will make a difference when it comes to the CPS version, R12 should work. Somebody else may be able to correct me on that.

I have 2 dozen host 12.00.01 radios, in all bands, that came in 2 weeks ago and CPS 12.00.00 works just fine programming them.

i missed out on the radio anyway :( arwell all is well i shall find another one on fleabay, ive read a bit about the panter88 radios and i may just end up buying one of those but my only concern is that they dont have any serial / flashcode stickers on the rear plate and the internal serials are bogus.. wondering how my local shop would respond to this lol . cheers for your help mate:)

The Moto shops generally will not touch the 123... serialized radios. Were you watching the Yellow XTS5k that was in British Columbia?
