HT1250 UHF Won't power up

Ok, I haven't used this radio in about 2 years now, good battery on it, but no power up. Is there a common failure in the 1250 line that would explain this? I don't feel like sending it in for a flat rate repair as I have other radios in UHF that I prefer to use and kept this just as a spare. Urgh. I put a good working battery on it, turn the power control and the radio remains dead.
