Does anyone have a link to a good database that might show what was difference with Astro release 7.2 and 7.6 and what changes and upgrades might have been made between 7.2 and 7.6?

Working on a strategic planning project for a couple of agencies that are interoperable but operating on different releases. Need to show customer what might and might not be compatible on a cross-programmed system

Thanks!

Subscriber wise they should be fully compatible... they would not see a difference between the two systems (except for optional programming like encryption) alot of the differences between the 2 releases are infrastructure hardware and software releases... ie: a 7.2 system most likely has quantar base stations where the 7.6 system would have the str3000 base stations... this is only one example there are a few other hardware differences out there

Another big difference is with network security...there is a LOT more firewalling, randomly generated passwording & port locking going on within the infrastructure of 7.6. There are also much improved software packages for network management/troubleshooting. Subscriber feature wise, things should be about equal, as the other poster mentioned. However, it's always best to have Motorola involved to ensure compatibility.
