Hello all,
I am trying to get a 2 meter amateur repeater setup with a maratrac as a transmitter. It is programmed to the correct channel and everything is set parameter wise. I am not using a control head just the partial cable and have jumpered the power connections per the instructions under the model specific info link. I am having trouble getting the radio to key up. I have tried to do it via the partial control cable and I have tried via the RJ45 Programming port. When it comes to the RJ45 connection I think I figured out the pin assignments, or at least I hope they are correct! I get the same voltage at the PTT wire on the control cable and the RJ45 pin both ways, 4.2V. I have been operating under the assumption that you have to ground the PTT to get the radio to key, is this correct? Thinking I may have a bad radio I substituted it with a UHF one I have that I know is good. It had the same exact results. I have to be doing something wrong with the connections to key it up and to pass any audio. That leads me to my second question. What connections need to be made to get the audio into the radio? Any help with these connections and any other helpful information would greatly be appreciated!
Thanks!

Re: Maratrac as repeater Transmitter question
The info you reference is the same info I used to get as far as I am right now. What I am looking for is the connections I have to make to get it to key up and where the audio is connected to, either on the partial control cable or the RJ45 connector in the radio itself. Thanks for the reply anyway!
