Telex IP-223 VoIP robot voices

The quick and dirty is that we are linked to central dispatch via a Motorola Canopy wireless LAN setup and then utilize Telex's VoIP IP-223 boxes on each end to tx/rx audio to the MTR2000 at our fire station. This was all done in response to 10 years of the frequent failure of the wireline connection. At this time, it appears that successful voice and tones pass through the IP-223 about 90% of the time. Obviously, that is not acceptable since the Quikcall II tones are sometimes garbled. Anyone around here familiar with the Telex VoIP solution?

Sorry for necro-threading, but was seraching for something else, and ran across this.

I've used the IP223 a lot, but never ran into "robot voices". Did you ever get this resolved? Thx.
