PR1500 (32ch) so why ABC switch

ok i have a new pr1500 it showes 32 ch's so why ABC switch that would be 48ch????

IIRC the MT1500 supports up to 96 modes if you have R12 HOST/DSP, maybe because it's cheaper to build one radio chassis?
Kind of like the HT1000 having an ABC switch but only 16 channels, common parts used in production would be my best guess.

i did prog. it with R12.00.00

The one thing you have to remember with the A25 and other Astro platform equipment is the following:
The version of the CPS should match the firmware version of the radio. There are features that are in the CPS that will not work unless your firmware matches. For example, you can configure QCII all you want because the software allows you to. However, the radio will never decode or work with QCII because it doesn't have any instructions (firmware) on what to do. Make sense?
