Programming a P1225 below 150 MHz

A Moto P1225 handheld with the software allows a previously programed P1225 with 2 meter frequencies to be cloned to a 2nd radio, but won't allow enterning in those frequencies directly. When I tried to do so and enter frequencies below 150 MHz, the software won't allow it. BUT, the cloning process did. The orginal radio does indeed have 2 meter frequencies that were cloned sucessfully to the 2nd radio.

Ok, what's up with this?

Have you tried the shift trick in RSS? Enter your frequencies with the shift key. i.e. 146.500 MHz would be entered as !$^.%))

That should do it for you.

(Yes, P1225 software is Windows-based, and it's RSS!)

No, but I will. Is that like M$'s 'hidden' tricks?

A 2nd somewhat related question, saving codeplugs with different frequencies. I understand the name/number of the file of the codeplug is based on the S/N of the radio. How can I save additional codeplug files with different frequency assignments other than putting them in different folders?

Change the customer name field

Edit: You should also be able to change the name of the codeplug file itself...

Does that change the file name, or just put the file in a different folder?

I tried changing the name once, but it wouldn't let me stating about S/N's not matching (or something like that). I tried it again, this time just changing the last digit and it allowed this.
What are the limitations of changing files names other than the 8.3 limitation of DOS?
