Does anyone know if this particular cable:
http://www.connectworld.net/cgi-bin/dataw/L2134 will allow an Astro Spectra to talk with the PA/Siren box and a VRS 750 repeater without tying up communications?

I don't know what you mean by tying up communications but the cable you want is HKN6154B.
This plugs into the front of the Astro Siren/PA box and has a passthrough to allow the cable from the Spectra to plug into it.
There's a separate cable running off that has the DB25 which plugs into the bottom of your VRS750.

Sorry I failed to specify the term tying up communications. I didn't know if the y cable would tie up the data bus or the busy line.

The data buss and busy lines are intended for twoway data flow, even in parallel. Each device, siren, VRS and control head(s) has it's own interface to the data and busy lines that only loads the lines when communicating data to the other devices.

Ok, so this cable should work with no problem, as long as it is a straight through? I'm trying to avoid spending the $260 for the VRS750 and siren box cable.

I know this is an old post but does anyone know if this style cable will work for running both a vrs750 and a siren on the same radio?

Have you taken a look on the batlabs.com site to look at the cable there for the siren connections?
