Bypassing Password on HT1250LS+?

Hi there group, I've purchased a HT1250LS+ from Ebay, have Pro CPS R06.10.04, when go to read the radio I get the dreaded password prompt :(

I've read about WInHex, are computer savvy, and have read the threads pertaining to the password protecting another codeplug to practice finding the memory/string locations.
My question is the only other CPS I have is R05.02 for my XTS's, if is password protect an XTS codeplug in R05.02, will the surrounding strings from one software be the same as the other, that is how you find it yes?

Thanks,

Steve

If you are looking for the password itself it definitely will not be in the same location, it will not even be in the same location for the same radio but of a different bandsplit. I doubt the location of the strings requiring the CPS to check the password are in the same location as well

Figures :(

I read so much late last night I don't think I absorbed alot, but I swear I saw the .exe be hacked to bypass/not look for a password?
Thanks for the help!

Haven't seen anything for R06.10.04, I know the trick works on R06.04.00 at address 002412AA
Did you try searching for 741C ?

You'd need to get your hands on another identical HT1250LS+ codeplug to practice with your Pro CPS in order to use the Winhex method. But in your case, where you don't care about the existing programming in the radio, you could just clone that codeplug into your radio & fix your problem right away.

As far as editing the CPS to ignore the password, the latest post I've seen was for CPS 6.10.02...but the same procedure would apply.

Go it to work, did the Hex edit trick to bypass the password, then were golden. Thanks everyone for pointing me in the right direction.
