A/B switch on Impres charger ?

I have a WPLN4114AR Impres charger (3.4 FIRMWARE) ,what is the A/B switch for on the bottom ?

I thank you for the help BUT " I DID USE THE SEARCH" ! I did not find what you did may be a bad choice of words in the search but I did not want a smart @&%$ reply . It may have not been intended that way but but that's way it comes across . I only ask because I did not know. :(

From the manual:

The conditioning charge feature of this system creates an audible "ticking" sound in the receiving radio during rapid and trickle charge modes of operation. This sound is caused by periodic discharge pulses to the battery. Should the sound be objectionable to the user, changing the switch position located on the bottom of the charger from position "A" to position "B" reduces the frequency of the discharge pulses. This has minimal impact on the effectiveness of the charger.

But then, you should not have the radio turned on while in the charger!

At the 90% or better on charging, isn't the impress batteries & chargers suppose to allow the radio to be on without any ill effects?
