Gday everyone!

Well here is my problem. I am wanting to program my astro spectra but im not sure what version of RSS or CPS i need. When I go into test mode it comes up with:

R095203
N060412
EMC R02.12

And some other information.

Does any of this info lead me to the firmware and what version of software it was last programmed with?

Thanks,
Michael

Firmware is easy, it's the set of numbers beginning with R although what you've got there looks a little odd. You've got some version of R9 firmware.

DSP is the next set of numbers. You've got an older DSP6.

EMC refers to the firmware of the encryption module in your radio.

Unfortunately, there's no way of telling what the radio was last programmed with. You'll have to use what the last person used or a newer version. There's no easy way of going back and using an older version of software.

Try reading it with the latest version you have and if it gives you a "Codeplug too new" error, then you'll have to find something newer and try again.
