Jedi questions from a new Jedi user

I bought my first Jedi series radio - an MT2000 - last week and I have a couple of questions for you Jedi users out there:

1) With the BDN6676D audio adapter, does it take the standard 3.5mm TRP style plug, or does it use something special?

2) I found someone who can program my radio for me, however I have to buy them a cable since their Jedi series cable seems to broken. Has anyone gotten an aftermarket RIB-less cables to work reliably, or can anyone recommend a good aftermarket RIB to radio cable?

3) Besides surplus Motorola, can anyone recommend an aftermarket speaker mic that won't go bad quickly?

4) Do the BNC adapters that screw in to the antenna connector on the radio actually work? I remember buying one for my MT1000........(nuff said).

Thanks in advance!

the BDN6676D audio adapter, takes the 3.5 mm three conductor plug with the threaded portion that keeps the plug in the jack.

The antenna adapter is a female SMA connection that mates with the recessed SMA male on the radio. Altho the MT2000 radio's SMA is a modified connector with different pin spacing.

Speaker mic: I have several McKay spkr mics in service with very good results.

Most of the time the OEM Motorola programming cable is easy to repair, at least for me.

Will, do you have a part number for that 3.5mm threaded connector? I have one from the generosity of a batlabber but that's it I've never found out any more info about it!

The last 3.5 mm threaded plugs I got with 5 foot cables already on them.
Let me look in the books for you.
