Ok, being new to this subject, I am in a quandry. I have a problem with Busy-Line locked error messages. I know that the RIB and cable(s) work because I can read other Low/Medium Spectras. Any ideas? I am curious if I have a corrupted S/W version. Please advise....

I have seen this in a couple of radios and was able to recover from it by cloning in a different codeplug.
Don't remember The exact sequence I used, but it had something to do with mashing some buttons as the
radio powered on. Been about 4 years since I had to do it.

Most of the time it is a bad control head. See if substituting a known good control head corrects the error.

This IS NOT a programming or RSS problem.

Forcing or cloning another"codeplug" can cause many other problems, including a dead MLM. I probably will NOT help if the control head is still bad.

This IS a common problem, mostly A5, A7 series heads. I have seen the A9's do this too.

Any time a button is pressed, the busy line goes active. Also from the receiver poping in and out will lock the busy line.

I have swapped 3 good known control heads, but the same error comes up. Any other suggestions?

I would like to see that radio. So I am very curious about what is making your Spectra do that.
I just had the same problem with one today and it was the control head.
