Centracom Gold Elite yellow exclamation?

Hi,
Got an interesting problem. Here are the details:
1. Need to add a tornado alert, cancel and test page to a two position Gold Elite.
2. Added the icons, setup the ADM for the pages.
3. Went into the CDM, deleted the conventional resource that I need because it was a non signalling resource.
4. Added the resource back into the CDM as a signalling resource, set all the parameters.
5. Failed to mention after each procedure above, I saved the configuration in the CDM then
restarted the CDM and did the next step.
6. Downloaded each position with the new parameters, and had no problems.
Here is the small problem though. The resource works but there is a triangle ,yellow, with an
exclamation in it that I cannot get to go away. The channel works,RX and TX and pages ,but
this warning is there.I believe it is the way I setup the paging somehow, but not sure what I missed. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you

A signalling tnnr base is a bim with a signaling modem attached. The yellow triangle is because it doesn't see the modem. I assume your sirens are either dtmf or qc2 in which case you don't need a signaling modem. Change the resource back to conv. non signalling. You may want to go into the adm and check your base selection for each of those pages, as deleting the resource to change it back may affect them. BTW what part of indiana are you in? Just wondering.

BW 21,
THAT IS RIGHT!!
I forgot that!!! That is why when I went back to con. non-sig. that the triangle was gone!!
When i do go back to con.non-sig., will i still be able to make it a paging resource in the ADM
so that i can page? I will have to make it 2t because the BIM will not speed the DTMF up to
100ms on 100ms off. I take it the way you explain it that i will still be able to make it a paging
resource in the ADM. True? I live in Northwest IN. what about you if you do not mind?
Thank you

"Signaling" in the context of a Centracom refers to MDC or Astro formats which support radio ID and so-on.
QCII, DTMF, etc. are supported on conventional non-signaling resources.
Fast DTMF signaling and custom timing for two tone sequential formats can be obtained with custom [SP] BIM firmware. That used to cost about $500.00.

Xmo,
Thank you. That is right, I remember that. When I was immersed in the CentracomII more
I would have known that. Too many things going on,forgot that. Since I last read this, the "Bat" terms are coming back now. Yea we do use signalling for both the fire band and the police band. I know now what to do. Yes, I know about the 500.00 upgrade, and so does the cust. who opted not to do that. So we are going to do the ol' 2T 1sec. 3sec. to set off the sirens. I have run into this "speed" issue with a number of consoles, and I guess it is an attempt for the manufacturer to make more money, which is why they don't make it standard like 2T. The other dept. I take care of have had to us a non Motorola encoder to set off sirens with DTMF or as Motorola calls it " Touch code"
Thanks alot

Guys,
Thank you very much again. I went to the cust. programmed up the CDM and the ADM and had no problem. The only "problem" is the DTMF speed which I informed the cust. about the
upgrade and I think they are considering going to 2T.
Again thank u
