Help: 2013 and Certain Seriel Numbered Radios

Greetings,
I have been reading some of the posts regarding narrowbanding and have a few questions.
I understand that in 2013 the narrowbanding will take place.
My department currently has MT2000, HT1250 and HT1000 radios that will program with the RSS to 12.5 Khz.
Question #1 - Our County has no plans to go digital. Will these MT2000, MTS2000 and HT1000 radios be allowed after 2013??
Question #2 - Some of the local radio "experts" say there is a magic list of seriel numbers that determines if the above radios will work or not. Is there such a list?? If so, is it posted anywhere??
Thanks in advance for any help!!!

To answer question #1: If the radios support narrowband operation, sure they'd be allowed after 2013. If the system goes digital by then, they won't do you much good though, as those are analog radios.
To answer question #2: As far as I know, *ALL* HT1250 radios support 12.5kHz narrowband operation. Those radios are recent enough that ANY version or revision of them should support 12.5kHz.
As far as the HT1000, I don't know what the cutoff is.
As far as the MT2000, I believe it's the "BN" series that actually supports 12.5kHz, someone please shed some light on this...
But your HT1250's are fine, that I know for sure.

HT1000's that are DN and most CN revisions will do the 12.5 I know some of the BN's that arent 12.5 can be programmed on a close freq and have the deviation ajusted to work. I had to do this on a few radios we keep as spares. Its not " compliant" but works in a pinch. Other than a bit of scratchy Tx it is still fine through our repeater.

I don't know why this misconception keeps cropping up - EVERY HT1000, AN thru DN will do 12.5 kHz steps and narrowband analog transmit and receive.
The earlier radios have 5 ppm TCXOs, and none will do 6.25 kHz steps, but they ALL will do 12.5 and narrowband.

then they apparently haven't bought any new radios in the last 10 years since all radios sold in that time were required to be compatible by the FCC with 12.5khz channel spacing and the requisite deviation levels for said channel. does anyone even sell new wideband only radios anymore? nope, not here in the US.
i will need a citation to support this claim else i will have to dismiss it as bunk.
