I have a HT1000 that won't stop beeping. I take off the battery, turn off, turn on the radio. nothing
The green light will light up everytime it beeps which is maybe, every 2 seconds.
Is there a way to reset this?? help!

If you haven't already tried another battery this would be a good 1st step. I know it sound simple but I had just that issue, battery had enough to go thru self check (beep + the green LED) but not to run the radio, continously went thru this loop till I put another battery on.

If that doesn't do it, try a different front. It's possible one of the buttons may be fouled up. With the front off, also look for crud or corrosion on the side button contacts.

is this a new radio to you? the radio will beep constantly if the channel selector is on an empty or blank channel

I found out it had to do with the battery charging contacts. All is fine now.
