XTL5000 RX Out-of-band

Post by ske »

Anyone know if I could program a 450-520MHz band XTL5000 out of band down to the 410-420MHz range (for RX only)?

Cheers.

Can you program it? Yes, just modify the software? Will it work? Not a snowball's chance in hell...

I would say that the VCO won't lock and the front-end filter won't be wide enough to pass that range without serious loss... but considering the XTL is almost all software, I'm not sure if it has a VCO or a front-end filter!

My 380-470s seem to work at 433 quite nicely 8)
