Need info on replacing a speaker/mic flex on a HT1250??

Post by kotaguchi »

Hi,

I will be getting a Motorola HT1250 and have been told by the current owner that it needs a new 8480549Z07 Flex, Speaker-Microphone.

Can anyone tell me if replacing the flex assembly is a easy thing to do or does it involve soldering?

Thanks,

Ko

The flex is soldered at the [internal] speaker in the front housing, and at the electret mic mounted in the front housing. In addition, if the replacement flex does not have the small smt capacitor presoldered to it near the mic pads, you'll need to move the one from the old flex to the new one.
