Quick-Call II for newbies

I recently started getting into the CPS software for my HT1250. I'm to the point now where I'd like to start programming a Quick-Call decode on my dispatch frequency. I understand how to program in the A/B format and correct tones, but here's where it gets stick for me.

I'd like the audio on the radio to open on after the radio receives the pager tones, and stay open until I push a user-defined button on the radio. I don't know how to do this. (I think it's mostly that I don't understand all of Motorola's terms in the CPS quite yet.)

I'd also like the radio to play an "alert tone" after it receives the pager tones and before the dispatcher starts talking to give out information after the tones drop. I want this as a "heads up" that the tones have dropped.

Any help?

You want a Minitor with talkback. :)

I dunno that it will do that. I know it has QCII encode and decode. But, I don't know if it will remain muted until the proper tones are decoded, give an alert, AND reset with a button. I'll have to play for a bit and get back to you.

You want Auto Reset Timer Type:

* Manual Reset: Short Pressing the programmed Monitor button ends the Release Squelch state.
This setting is found under Signalling > Quick-Call II Systems > Quick-Call II System - X on the Call Alert/Sell Call tab.
