Different Power poles on HT1000

Post by KC8EAQ »

I have two HT1000 vhf 2 channels. Both are H01KDC9AA1BN NX. I just received one today from Ebay. It appears to work but its battery connection poles are different. My original one had 2 power poles in the triangle of three openings with orange jacketing. This new HT1000 has a connection pole in all three openings. Any ideas why and what significance if any this might have in the purchase of accessories and batteries.

The older units had three battery terminals with a black seal, the newer units only have two terminals with the orange seal. They all take the same batteries.

Thanks, that at least tells me which one I will keep and which one I will sell.
