XTL 5000 show Maintenance Mode Local Device

Post by EdwinAlers »

XTL5000 O5 CH display "Maintenance Mode - Remote Device"

WE program a new radio (clone) wend complete the programming, radio display "Maintenance Mode"
That it, I can't do nothing. I press all buttons, etc...
We update the CPS to the lates version because before, we can't read the radio "version to old'. This was done before this problem start.

Any Ideas?

We see this happen when the trunk unit isn't talking to the control head. The control head is powered up, but not talking.
You also see this when the control head is powered and you disconnect the data cable to the trunk unit.

First thing I'd try, it power cycling both the trunk unit and the control head, after making sure the remote data cable is connected from the control head to the trunk unit.

If you've power cycled everything on the radio, and your sure the trunk unit is powered up, then try and see if you can do the control head sync with the CPS, at tools>syncronize control head with radio. This feature wants a Astro_25_CH_xx.cvn file, which is obtained on MOL as a download.

You need to know which verison of software your radio is running, as their seems to be a new one of these with
each version of the radio. I have an "AG" version of it as now days.

Please let us know if you recover the radio.
