I need some facts for rental price. Like, if a customer wants to have like 2 or 25 HT's for an event, programmed in simplex or on a repeater. Price for a regular monthly client who rent the radio with repeater access on a LTR trunked system. Some price for a monthly access in a conventional community repeater when client have his own radios. And also the average price to host a repeater in a tower/shelter in a town about 43 000 people, there is 5 towers on the mountain 2 are private and don't want to host, one is pinnacle towers and 2 others are radios dealer from other town who are asking 250$/month for a single repeater. I called Pinnacle from the add they have on the shelter and don't even know they have this site. I need to host a rackmount. The deal is : i want to start a radio rental service with a LTR repeater with 3 channels. Where i live there is a lack of service from the others radio dealer and i can have a 5-6 steady client with each 8 to 12 radios. I just want to be sure i'm investing in something impossible and outpriced. I already own 25 UHF LTR P1225, 2x UHF MSF5000, uhf C4 and other stuff with a verbal confirmation from my local FCC that i can obtain my licence fo what i want to do.

Our basic UHF handheld rental rates are $8/day per portable, $40/wk, $120/mo. Our LTR access is $45/mo for the first five units, and $8/mo each additional. Site rental varies from $350/mo to $1700/mo depending on the property, usage, elevation on the tower, and whether you'll be using our multicouplers and combining.

Also, don't forget that a lot of tower management companies require the renter to have a liability insurance policy in place generally in the amount of $1 to $3 million. This is a hangup for a lot of people... I'm not saying EVERY company requires this, but quite a few of them do. Some also require any tower work to be completed by a licensed, bonded company.

We serve the west coast US in four states.

And d119 is correct - we have other "considerations" for tenants at our sites. I'm not part of our sites or rentals depts, and do not know the intricacies. But, they're nice people, and have no need for your appendages, or first born.

I don't know about the licensing intricacies in Canada, but in the US, a license for your repeater is going to cost you around $1k with fees and coordination. Make SURE you have your site picked, secured and ready before you license, as re-doing your license is always a pain.
