Hi,
I have someone who has a CP200 that they corrupted the code plug they are getting the following issue"codeplug is corrupted error message #2411".
Can this be fixed easily?I only programmed one Motorola CP200 prior to this so my knowledge of Motorola CP200 is very limited.
Thanks,
Ko

What version of CPS are you using? I believe it's versions 5.07 & higher have a built-in codeplug fix feature...if it detects a codeplug error it should automatically try & fix it. Otherwise, there is a commercial series codeplug patch software package available on MOL to try & fix corrupted codeplugs. It only fixes certain corruptions, but it's worth a try. Last resort is a firmware upgrade, although you'll probably have to force it by starting the procedure with an identical working model, and swapping in the corrupted unit when you get to the "bootstrap" part. I've revived a number of them that way when all else failed.

Depending on the manufacture date on the radio you might be able to get it repaired at the depot for free. If the radio is less than 9 months of out warranty it can probably be swung (since that's how long it took Motorola to remedy the firmware defect their software team reintroduced-- many of the earliest CP200 and CP150s would corrupt with NiCD batteries) since they ought to extend the warranty for that same length of time it took to fix.
Also, note if that if your internal codeplug is corrupted your only two options are a trip to the depot or a swap of corrupted EEPROM
