Motorola Astro Saber FAIL 02/90

Hi all!
I get Astro Saber from and it shows FAIL 02/90 after power on.
I knew that it's: General DSP hardware failure (DSP startup message not received correctly).
Because radio comes from bunch of radios from Department of the Interior I hopes that never been touched by hams/hackers. And because splines at bottom nuts are absolutely clean I hopes that it never been disassembled.
Any typical issues with FAIL 02/90?

Yep, hardware failure. I have fixed one for a friend before. You need to replace the vocon board. Dont forget to have the correct firmware and flashcode in it for the radio.

Thank you!

Not yet fixed. Radio isn't visible by CPS, RSS LAB, Tuner & etc.

Maybe real hardware problem, because radio have been dropped (after disassembling we find out small crack on the metal bottom).

Maybe? i'd say definitely - just as I assumed in my first reply
She is an old radio, a well designed radio, but an old one!

We have purchased this radio to get VOCON from! To use VOCON in other radio with 'bricked' VOCON by RSS LAB. But new radio arrvied with broken VOCON. Any no any VOCON offers for a few months (I have placed WTB post here).
