i have the 1225 loaded up on my xp computer but it does not want to read radio to pass a com test

The most-common version of 1225 RSS (3.1 HVN9054C) does not work on XP, only Win95/98. It loads and runs fine on XP but will not access the serial port.

The last release of this RSS was HVN9054E but I can't remember if that release ended up supporting XP or not. I think it did


(Edit: yes, searching prior posts says the last release called ver4.0 supported XP)

Correct, my XP laptop runs V4 of 1225 and 1225LS without any problems

yeah i have the 3.1 i just need to figure out how to get it onto my older dos/win 3.1 machine
