Trunking Professional Radio CPS problem...

Hello, all. I am working with the latest revision of the Motorola Trunking Professional Radio CPS, Kit HVN9067, R 02.00.02. I am having trouble editing the CPS to allow me to program past 821.000 on the Tx side. I am just trying to edit it so it will accept up to 822.000 but using the techniques I know to edit similar CPS and even double checking with the stuff found on Batlabs and other forums, I am still crashing the program after editing the areas I do, forcing me to reinstall the software. I already tried to post a reply to a thread from a few years ago that referenced the Batlabs instructions but was told to start a new thread so here it is. Thanks in advance for your help. -E

Do you mean this thread?:

It really doesn't get much easier than this one. Are you manually replacing each instance of the frequency, or using Hex Workshop's built-in "find & replace" feature?

I am manually replacing each and every instance. I use HexWorkshop to open the CPS_95NT.exe file, I located each instance of 821000000 (4077EF30). and replaced each one with 822000000 (80B9FE30). I saved, exited, and always get nothing but errors when I tried to open the program back up.

821000000 is not the band limit...820987500 is. Try searching & modifying that value instead.

Also, saving a copy of the exe file in a separate folder on the computer will save you the bother of re-installing everytime if it doesn't work...you simply overwrite the modified file with the copy of the original exe file & you're good to go.
