Can anyone suggest a source for a "ribless" cable with USB for the MCS2000?
Thanks.

If you want to find the best way to brick your radio, sure. Number 1, there is no such thing as a factory Motorola ribless cable for the MCS2000...everything is done through the RIB & MCS cable. Anything claiming 'ribless' is an aftermarket product with a built-in mini RIB circuit of unknown quality. Number 2, USB-to-serial interfaces are flakey at the best of times for Motorola products. Your mileage varies greatly depending on manufacturer & even model. So, you want both...non-factory cable & non-dependable conversion technology. Your best bet is to go with factory cable & RIB (or known good replicas as discussed on Batlabs) and a PCMCIA serial card which will give you a 'true' serial port. Anything else is a crapshoot.
