I am new to here and to programming radios. I bought a HT1250 and tried using the most current radio software that I have (R06.06) . When I tried to read the radio an error message comes up and says "Unsupported Model"

Does anyone have a tutorial on use of CPS they can e-mail or PM me.

Am I using the correct version for this radio as well?

Like i said pretty new at this and trying to get my bearings....If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated!

Are you attempting to program your 1250 using straight CPS, or is it the Professional version, made for the Waris series?

The term 'CPS' is generic, but there are several platforms that are involved here, such as the CP series, PR and so on.

There is also a series called: Entry level which ccovers the CT series, and then you have the Professional series which covers the HT750, 1250 as well as the CDM line(to name a few).

You need the correct version in order to program your radio, and once you have it, there is a tutorial in the software that will step you through the procedures as you need them, all the way to final programming.
