cool site for mapping ham p25 users and repeaters in us

i found this site recently and think its a really cool idea, you find your place on the map and add your location, you can say what kind of radios you use and what frequency's you are on. you can select repeater user orange or radio user blue.
lets populate this map with everyone here on the board that has p25

I joined that site about two years ago, and even uploaded pics and so on, but never have I been able to see what I uploaded.

Now we are supposed to pay for this when I can build a 'play' site for less and have total control over what I do with it.....it's absurd.

I'll create my own and keep it free.

Same pics as there were two years ago....Nothing changed at all. :x

You're right on that for certain, but when i tried to upload a pic for others to se, it never showed up, so I tried a second time....no joy.

Even after almost two years, my pics have never showed up on the site, and all I ever get to see is....you guessed it....My pin.

an idea would be to use your call as your title, set up pictures and a profile on QRZ.com and when people see your call they may click over to QRZ.com type in your call and then see your profile, at least thats what i do when i see someones call on a site. QRZ allows posting a profile and pictures for free, i think you can have up to 8 pics, there's a set of directions for getting pics within the profile, in addition to the one you put at the top corner. just an idea..

Agreed.

I've had my info on QRZ for years also, and although I never posted anything other than my info and company logo, I enjoy the ease of navigating the site.

I enjoy a clean and easy site to nav through, save the clutter for 'messenger' type sites.. :-)

That is my frappr site and have been running it for quite sometime. The site is difficult to administer and the site owers are not very quick to respond to bugs or requests for assistance. I'm probably not going to pay the yearly fees as I'm sure someone could come up with a better solution, maybe even batlabs....hint hint.

I don't get on as much as I used to but I do get on from time to time to approve pins.
