I might be missing something but is there a key sequence to enter programming mode for the XTL2500 using the DEK? I seem to remember simply pressing a few of the buttons (ie siren, wail, manual ect ect ect) but If thats the case I dont remember the sequence. I am trying to set the radio to connect to CPS. Any help would be appreciated

You don't need to do anything to the radio to get it to talk to the programming computer except plug the
programming cable between the 2 boxes. Turn the radio on, start the CPS and then connect the program
cable. You do have to tell the CPS what port your using. It could be a serial or a USB connection that is
determined by which cable your using. Part of your selection is determined by which control head your
radio has. If it is one of the new ones with the round mic connector, then using the control head mic
connector is the way to go.
