Odd issue with astro saber MENU items

Hello there. I have encountered a weird issue with an astro saber. The previous programming had menu options ZONE, MUTE, DEL (scan nuisance). When I changed some stuff around in the CPG, I have noticed that the MUTE function completely disappeared on the radio once the cpg was written to it, even though it appears in the CPS under both trunking and conventional. I tried rewriting the cpg, but it didn't fix the issue.

Am I missing something?

The buttons and switches are set up as follows:
secure switch: keypad lock on/off
a/b switch: scan on/off
top button: call response/talkaround-direct
. button: light on/off
.. button: unprogrammed (trs)/monitor (conv)
top button: vol set tone

r07.13.00
dsp n8.02.08

Thanks in advance for any insights you may have.

Not to restate the obvious, but the radio can only show three menu items at a time. If you only have three, it shows them. If you add more, then you have to use the right and left rocker keys to see the others.

In CPS, you can move the menu items up and down the list, so that the ones you want to see on radio power up are in the first three in the list of menu items.

Off the top of my head, I would check to make sure that your "Alert Tones" checkbox is checked, and the "Mute Tones Operation" selection box is not set to "Disabled".

Thanks RKG and akardam. Akardam nailed the issue - the alert tones options needed to be checked in order for mute to even be an option. Thanks!
