XTL5000 O5 Aux Mic Current Limit

Post by ricksplacer »

XLT5000 Mobile
O5 Remote Control Head
UHF Band 2

I'm using the Aux Mic Input on the O5 along with the Aux PTT.
The Aux Mic Input has a 9.6VDC bias, confirmed.
But does anyone know the the current limit?

A good bet would be that the current isn't much, maybe in the area of 20mA or so. It can only be for two things, the mic preamp and the phantom power for the electret mic element. If the mic has an LED it might double the current, but at these levels, so what?

Thanks Tom

Yes, I'm powering an active mic and it should not draw much current. Even still its good to know what others have found.
