Astro 25 Tuner Settings

Post by nick.dejohn »

I have an XTS5000 that I would like to compare my settings in the tuner to someone elses to see if mine is off. If someone could provide me with default settings, I would appreciate it. Its an XTS5000 Model II VHF mainly used for conventional.

Thanks,
Nick

There are no default settings and you can't compare to another radio, the only way to properly tune the radio is with a service monitor or the appropriate individual components of a service monitor including but not limited to spectrum analyzer, RF generator, watt meter, oscilloscope etc etc.

Think of it this way - if the radios all had "default values", why would there be a tuner in the first place? Plus, the values need to be changed over time as components age... thus the need for scheduled PMs every so often.

There are several of us (myself included) capable of providing a comprehensive alignment for such radios, if you want it tuned up properly.
