They are the same. Motorola dropped the P for publication some years ago.

The "P" was a placeholder for what size of drafting paper the part was defined on. However, you typically see a beginning alphabet letter inserted in the part number after the first two numbers, (like A, B,C,D,E,F), it was the drafting paper size.
This being a manual, the "P" was used. When we purchased the part (back in the day), we had to specify "-" in place of the letter, such as 30-102003T01. Now Motorola has switched to 10 digit part numbers (for part numbers starting with a number) and as such, the - or letter is replaced by a zero. No more letters or hyphens after the first two digits. Short numbers as listed in manuals, such as MCX100's, have to have extra zero's added to the part number to become 10 digits in length. I.E. 30-28M01 becomes 3000028M01 (the "-" becomes zero, then two more filler zero's to make the whole
part number be 10 digits in length).
You can tell how old a manual's part list is if the part numbers themselves all have a letter after the first two digits, (really old 70's and older), then to dashes instead of letters (20-25 yrs old) to modern manuals that just show the full ten digit numbers (last 15 yrs or less)

Now, more current part numbers are all digits, no letters at all.
Example: 1009342001

That is very upsetting. /\/\ email me the basic service manual then I ordered the detailed service manual base on the information giving to me by parts ident. at motorola I also looked it up on MOL and it says that it is the AVA detailed service manual but it is the same parts number as the basic manual.
So if any one has the part number for the detailed service for the NTN7227 and the NTN5487 I would be gratefull.
What I am needing is the Schematic and layout of both units. The SVA Instruction Manual 68P81068C70 that I have is missing that info.
What To Do???

Does anybody have a copy of the user manual for the ntn7227e? I need to know what the different buttons do, and which light lights up when the battery is charging. There is no info in the manuals that I have.
