Astro Spectra Question

Post by Max »

I recently bought a Astro Spectra off Ebay .The radio was listed,as is.The seller posted that the radio had no tags and he had no way of testing it.
When I received the radio I read it with CPS and this is the information:
Model:D04RKH9PWANSP01
Firmware:11.06.01.00
DSP:N07.03.19
System Package:G51
Flashcode:1-00008-000000-0
1 MEG
The band split is only 453 to 490 Mhz
I read on Batlabs some information about changing the band split with hex.
I am not qualified nor have the knowledge to do hex editing.
My first question is,does anyone know if and how this can been done, the radio is useless to me with that split, and I would pay for there services.
Second,if it can't be done, what would the radio be worth to sell.It is cosmetically a 9 out of 10,very clean.

I was hoping 438-482 MHz or at least 440

You would be lucky to take it to 444 with the VCO mod and even then you wont get it to do IMBE there, just analog.
