I am attempting to program an XTS2500 model II for MDC Emergency silent alarm on a conventional channel (Radio Wide:Emergency tab in the CPS).

I've tested the MDC Emergency alarm function and it transmits/works, but I don't want the transmitting radio to give any audible indication that it has sent the emergency signal. I get the little reading glasses symbol when I hover the cursor over the silent alarm checkbox.

All the other MDC settings seem correct, am I missing something?

The flashcode of the radio is 500008-00048C-7.

When the radio is model/option capable, and

when the Display & Menu, Emergency Receive field is disabled.

That display setting was indeed the problem. Thank you!
