I have an EX600-XLS with firmware 5.14.03, I cant get it to decode an emergency MDC packet. It will decode every other type of MDC signal. In the MDC system 1 tab, I cant check the "Emergency Decode" box because it is greyed out. Am I doing something wrong?

No, it's not capable of decoding emergency. You need an HT1550 or XPR6550 to decode emergency, no other pro series portable will do it
