CP200 and repeat Alert on QCII

Ok, i'm trying to set up a CP200 with QCII to when it gets Selective Called it repeates the alert chime every 10 seconds or so like the HT750/1250 series does. It will do this when it is set to Call Alert but not Selective Call. I cannot use the Call Alert because i need the audio to open up after the page is received to hear the channel traffic and instructions on where to go for the EMS call. Any help on getting this function to work?

The CP200 responds only to QC-II and has no trouble with voice once the tones have been received.

I use a CP200 VHF portable to keep track of my son, so I programmed the radio for QC-II and since the PA was removed and jumpered around, the radio does maybe 10mW which is enough to cover the area he plays in.

I tone him then call him on voice right after the 'page'.

Since the radio is set up to transmit MDC, and receives QC-II....He never misses a voice call or the page.

You shouldn't have problems with voice after a page, as long as the page is done, and not continuously repeating, you should be able to respond/hear all voice traffic.

Just to test things, I programmed my son's CP200 with both, Call Alert and Sel Call.
In both instances I could talk to the radio once the tones were transmitted, so both selections DO work in the CP200.

Take your pick, CA and SelCall respond to voice calls AFTER the tones are received.

Of course, you can't talk to the radio if the page is being received, only after the tone-out has occurred.

On mine if i set it to Call Alert, it receives the tones and alerts, but doesn't open the speaker up to channel traffic to hear any audio after it receives the page, Now i can talk after the page and it will open the squelch up after i push the PTT, but that doesn't work so well as a fire/ems pager if they give the instructions right after they drop the tones and your clear across the room. I'm wanting the radio to be muted until it recieves the tones, once it receives the tones, i want it to alert, then go unmuted , but also to alert every 10 seconds until i push the ptt or monitor button too reset it.
