Syntor 9000 low ban scan issue

Post by parsoons »

On my syntor 9000 low band it has developed a scan issue. The scn light is lit but you need to push the scan button off and then back on where it will scan for a few minutes and then stop again. But the control head scan light stays on. Any suggestions?

Other than the scan button light, the control head doesn't indicate if the radio is scanning or not. The control head display, Rx BUSY light and possibly the PRI or NON-PRI lights only change when it finds an active Rx mode in the scan list.

If the scan stops on a priority mode and the the Rx PL/DPL doesn't match what is programmed, the scan will get stuck on this priority mode with no audio. However, the control head will display the priority mode it stopped on.

Why do you think it has stopped scanning? Is there any BUSY light activity?
