CDM1250 Will Not Turn On

I have a CDM1250 in like new condition, visibly. It worked fine prior to programming. It was turned on multiple times in a vehicle and on a benchtop power supply. During programming with the CPS, I didn't change any type of ignition sense settings. I don't recall the exact setting, but I do know that it was NOT "follow ignition only". Maybe it's a coincidence that the on/off knob suddenly went intermittent. Any ideas, please?

Besides having a bad volume control / on-off switch, I'd try the ignition sense lead, just in case that was the issue.
Its pin 10 of the 16 pin external speaker plug. If the radio pops on, you'll know what happened.

Thanks for the reply. I have another 1250 that works fine when connected. So that's not the issue. I cant believe there is no way to power this up the way it is.

I have had a few come into the shop which wouldn't turn on... in more than a few cases, the master reference osc. wasn't starting so the radio wouldn't finish booting. Our in-house masters of surface mount parts either re-flowed the oscilator chip or replaced it, and that fixed the problem.

Try shorting pins 7 & 9 on the accessory connector and applying power to the main power plug.
if it is an ignition sense issue that should by pass it and the radio will power up unless it is another issue.
