I looked through some posts for this question but came up empty. Will a HT1000 programming cable attached to the RIB work with the XTS2500? I have the cable already and I know my HT1000 mic will interchange with the XTS. Thanks!

No. ASTRO25 is totally different... you'll need the serial or USB RIBless cable for the XTS1500/2500/5000.
