Q52 & Q53

Post by kd8ati »

Hey Everyone,

I am fairly new with the Moto side of the radio hobby. I was looking at different XTS5000's. I have seen several that claim they are FPP with Q52 & Q53. However when I use the Radioreference decoder, none of them show up as having those flashports. I am guessing it is something with the deocder? So my question would be, how can you tell just by looking at the flashcode if it has Q52 and/or Q53? One example would be this code: 5A9088-101E87-1

Thanks for the help

Shannon

The radio reference decoder was outdated 5+ years ago for the most part.. I suggest you use board member Akardam's flashcode decoder.. It's a fine example, very up to date and accurate.. http://www.akardam.net/moto/tools/decode4.pl

The flashcode you listed has Q52 only FPP, and I would not program that radio with anything higher than R09.xx.xx CPS.

Stupidity creates job security!

If your radio has old firmware, programming it with the latest CPS will not add any new features unless you have the latest firmware to match..

CPS = Customer Programming Software, Not CPS Software.
