Hey Guys.

Anyone have any experience with using the Engenius Tech wireless devices to create a network between two locations? We are trying to go about 1000' and have a clear line of sight.

The particular model purchased was:

Currently we have them working great within the shop area. We tried to jump to between the shop and the site, however, due to fog we could not line everything up perfectly and we could not make it work. The current plan is to start small and start spreading them out between two points to see how far they will go.

Any suggestions? Canopy is a bit out of the picture due to cost since it's a not for profit fun project.

Yeah, I'm going to double check that setting and make sure that they are set right.

Currently one end is configured as an access point and the other is a client bridge... Unless there's another way they should be configured... The user manual leaves a lot to be desired in terms of if you want to do x, recommended configuration is y.

Have you used these for hops before?

I'm just curious because this is really the first I've played with them.

We put in a set of these for a auto auction yard that needed integrated phone and ip at several shacks across many many acres of pavement. They also use it with their handheld inventory control devices.

What vendor sells them?

never had good luck with engenius products here always seemed to run hot and have spotty coverage, I have found that using Tranzeo links work great they offer 2.4 ghz and 900 mhz i prefer to use the tr-6015F for hops upto 5 miles LOS

We got the Engenous bridges working.... They have been working very nicely for the past week or so. Had to configure them for WDS (I think) bridge mode. Once that was done we did a test and they have been solid since.
