Any techniques known to convert an MCS2000 Model-II to a Model-III ? I picked up an M-III head I'd like to use 'cuz of the 2-line display. Code Plug Hack maybe?
-thanks in advance...

If you can get an S-record for a Model III and RSS LAB you could probably force the codeplug in. You'd just have to make sure it was the same band split and features i guess.

Yeah, unfortunately the only way to do it is to find a s-record or unpacked codeplug from a Model 3 radio in the same range as yours and dump it in with the appropriate Lima Alpha Bravo software. There's no codeplug upgrade setting or feature in regular programming software.

If you do it the same rules apply as with other Flashport radios, in that the model and serial number are carried over and you'll need to write down the original tuning settings beforehand.
