pm1500 vhf mdc problem

have a dual head pm1500 vhf mobile. i have the mdc programmed for keyup. after the sidetone there is an additional short beep . i do not have the short side tone selected. anyone know what this is?

Clear alert tone? Check your secure settings...
OR... in the MDC system someone checked BOTH MDC sidetone and Short Sidetone... That would also create that effect.

If the PM supports it, look at the clear tone alert as mentioned.
