i have done a little searching and think what i am doing is correct here but still having issue?

we have professional radio cps v. r06.11.05 with win xp that we use with ht1250's and cdm's all the time with no issue

during some house cleaning last week we uncovered some older gm300s and radios appear to be working fine tx and rx on one of our known freq's but nothing else programed into them that i can tell we have since added a number of frequencies that i want to put into the puppies so they could at least be a back up in-case we had a failure somewhere else ... could just drop in and be rolling again.

also found commercial series cps v. r01.00 circa 03 i think

what should i use to try and read these radios i've built a dsub 25 to cat 5 cable with pins 1 tied to 4 of mic plug, 15 to 7 and 11 tied to 4 connected to known good working rib and nada ??

thoughts ??? is my wiring bad should i be using different software ie the rss for these specific radios?? perhaps not with xp ??

The older GM300's program with DOS RSS.

From BatBoard:
GM300/GR300/500/400 /M10/120/130 HVN-8177F Dec-94 Yes Pentium compatible.

AKA gm300.exe

i guess that could explain it ... i do not know how old they are so i'll have to check when i get back in town and see how old they really are.

thanks for the help i was afraid that may be the case but didn't know if anyone had done programing with older radios with newer software ... at least somewhat in regards to radios that could be 15 to 20 yrs old.

All GM300 radios program in DOS, doesn't matter how old they are.
