DVRS

Does anyone know if you have a DVRS made for a Harris mobile radio If it can be used for a XTL 5000 ? Are there different specs on the DVRS for the harris Vs Motorola? As we all know the DVRS is made by the same Company for both Harris and Motorola. I tryed calling Futurecom but they refuse to disclose any info because they are under contract by both Brands. But it seems to be the same "box" made for both Motorola and Harris other then the cables.

Any info would be appreciated.

I would venture a guess that out of the box, no. I think the motorola dvrs talks to the radio using the sb9600 protocol like the radio talks to its control head. I would think Harris uses their own data bus protocol to talk to the dvrs. My guess would be different firmware in the boxes.
